La Fortuna Massive Waterfall, Hanging Bridges and Volcanic River

La Fortuna is an excellent place for outdoor adventure; you can soak in the local hot springs, enjoy a swim in the La Fortuna waterfall, take a challenging hike on the trails or just relax in the free Tabacon natural hot spring river. The Arenal Volcano is surely on the list of every world traveler where you can submerge yourself in the therapeutic waters heated by the earth’s magma. The natural spa is infused with natural healing minerals and salts – it relaxes your muscles, detoxifies all the impurities in the skin and stimulates the senses. Breathing the pure and clean rainforest air whilst in the outdoor pools of paradise is nothing short of a mystical experience.

La Fortuna is a happening travel destination, there’s much to do and see such as horseback riding in the hills, swimming in the waterfall and visiting the hanging bridges. The beautiful hanging bridge overlooks a gorge and a 60m high waterfall. The views from the bridge of exotic animals such as birds, snakes, howler monkeys and more are enough to satisfy any traveler. One important travel hack for Costa Rica is to always carry binoculars, bug spray, sunscreen and a long lens to capture all the beauty.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had was the zip line from 100% Aventura Canopy. It is the longest zip line cable in Costa Rica (nearly 1590 meters!) There’re a total of 10 cables, 3 hours of zip line tour, 7 zip line cable, two spiderman cable, and one Tarzan swing, each zip line gets better, you can push yourself to do the next zip line and it’s number one in my Costa Rica highlights.

There’s so much to do in Costa Rica, travel to the Pacific Coast, Quepos and visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. The park offers spectacular views, abundant wildlife spotting and excellent hiking spots for the adventurers. The cruise along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica aboard a 100ft catamaran, while viewing the lush jungle and impressive scenery has made Manuel Antonio famous.
